Growth in FaithI just finished reading "Sharing an Experience of Growth in Faith," written by a Missionary of Charity, which appears in the May-June 1996 of The Catholic Faith magazine. What an excellent article! I have been increasingly concerned over the past several years of the incredibly inadequate Religious education our Catholic children are receiving. After finding out how and why this happened, I was convinced more than ever that we must return to teaching the fullness of the Faith Christ gave us. This magazine article deepened my conviction. The May/June issue arrived this week and as usual, I was very happy to see it for every issue has taught me so much! I usually read its pages on Fridays when I go for 3 hours of adoration before the Blessed Sacrament from 12 Noon to 3 p.m. I am hoping this home study course (by Father Hardon) will be the answer to my prayers.

Thanks
The very reason we subscribed to this beautiful magazine at the very beginning was because your name (Father Hardon) was mentioned as Executive Editor. All due respect to the others involved, your name rang a beautiful bell for us. My wife Marilyn and I attended a marriage retreat over thirty years ago given by you at the Leila Nurses Lodge, in Battle Creek, Michigan. My wife and I are still married, as well as my brother and his wife, who also attended this retreat. We both are approaching 50 years of marriage and are still practical Roman Catholics. This publication strengthens our resolve to be the best possible Roman Catholics that we can be. We have eight children, that like so many others, have drifted away from the Church in varying degrees. Many of them are now returning, which is of particular delight to us. We will be sending them a subscription to this publication, hoping that they will find what the truth really is. John and Marilyn Galloup Naples, Florida |
