The Archdiocese of Baltimore, now has a new
Archbishop. Benedict XVI named William Edward Lori to take on that new post. Up until today, Lori
served as the Bishop of Bridgeport. The Archdiocese of
Baltimore is actually the oldest archdiocese in the United States. The new 62 year old
Archbishop will follow Cardinal Edwin O'Brien who recently left that post to serve as the Grand
Master of the Order of the Holy Sepulcher of Jerusalem.
