NOVENA TO SAINT RITA OF CASCIA
Leader: Come, Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful, and enkindle in them the fire of Your love. Send forth Your Spirit and our hearts will be renewed.
All: And you will renew the face of the earth.
Leader: O God, Who by the light of the Holy Spirit, instructed the hearts of the faithful; grant us, by the same Holy Spirit, a love and desire for what is right and just, and the constant enjoyment of His consolation, through Christ our Lord. Amen.

All: With the marks of Your love and Passion.
Leader: Let us pray. O God, Who bestowed on St. Rita such grace that she loved her enemies, and bore in her heart and on her forehead the mark of Your love and Passion, grant us, we beseech You, through her merits and intercession, a love for our enemies. Through our contemplation of Your sufferings and Passion, may we merit the reward promised to the meek and the suffering. You live and reign forever. Amen.

All: Glorious St. Rita, patroness of those in need/ your intercession with our Lord is most powerful./ Through the favors obtained by your prayers/ you have been called Advocate of hopeless and even impossible cases./ St. Rita, humble and pure; patient and compassionate lover of Christ Crucified!/ We have confidence that everyone who has recourse to you, will find comfort and relief./ Listen to our petitions and show your power with God in our behalf./ Obtain our petitions for us/ if they are for the greater honor of God, and for our good./ We promise, if our petitions are granted,/ to make known your favor, and to glorify God for His gift./ Relying on your power with the merciful Savior, we ask of you . . .

In Your infinite love and mercy/ You heed the prayer of Your beloved servant, Rita./ You graciously grant favors through her intercession,/ which are considered impossible to human skill and effort./ Relying on her compassionate love, we ask You to assist us in our trials and difficulties./ Let unbelievers know/ that you are the helper of the humble,/ the defender of the weak, and the strength of those who trust in You. | St Rita, I wish to begin a novena today asking for miraculous healing for my sister, who has been very ill over months now. I wish to return to this site to proclaim to the world that my sister has been healed from the strange lung disease she is suffering from. I believe you will pray to God for us and answer our prayers. Dear Saint, intercede for us Amen. |

| I have prayed this novena many
times. I have prayed this novena to
Saint Rita so that I would get an
internship, and Saint Rita helped
me, and I landed a great internship
at a commercial company. Also -
my grandpa was very sick, and I
payed to Saint Rita that she would
intercede for him, and He made a
great recovery. Saint Rita has
always been there in tough times
for me. And I really and truthfully
thank you Saint Rita, and for
helping me on my path and
bringing me closer to God's love! |

| I have prayed this novena many
times to each time hear my prayer
granted in some regard. Last week
my friend found he had a 8 cm
tumor in his brain, and was going
in for immediate surgery. I prayed
to St. Rita that the tumor may be
benign and his recovery safe. The
next day he found out his tumor
was benign! He is recovering now.
St. Rita does work miracles if you
have true faith in her intercession
and God's power and love. Thank
you St. Rita!!! |

For Impossible or Hopeless
Cases
O Holy Patroness of those
in need, St. Rita, whose
pleadings before thy
Divine Lord are almost
irresistible, who for thy
lavishness in granting
favors hast been called
the Advocate of the
Hopeless and even of the
Impossible; St. Rita, so
humble, so pure, so
mortified, so patient and
of such compassionate love
for thy Crucified Jesus
that thou couldst obtain
from Him whatsoever thou
askest, on account of
which all confidently have
recourse to thee,
expecting, if not alwavs
relief, at least comfort;
be propitious to our
petition, showing thy
power with God on behalf
of thy suppliant; be
lavish to us, as thou hast
been in so many wonderful
cases, for the greater
glory of God, for the
spreading of thine own
devotion, and for the
consolation of those who
trust in thee. We promise,
if our petition is
granted, to glorify, thee
by making known thy favor,
to bless and sing thy
praises forever. Relying
then upon thy merits and
power before the Sacred
Heart of Jesus, we pray:
