Fr. Michael Sliney reflects on the importance of gratitude to God.

In this Sunday's Gospel reading, we hear the story of the ten lepers who came to Jesus asking to be healed. Jesus asks them to show themselves to the priest, and on their way they realized that they had been cured. We can imagine their incredible joy at this realization. They were free from this painful, deadly disease, and furthermore, they could now become part of society again. However, only one of the ten returned to Jesus to give thanks. We might think, "how could the other nine be so ungrateful?" But if we look at ourselves, how often do we take for granted our gifts from God? How often do we stop and give thanks? In this week's video, Fr. Michael offers some thoughts on the importance of gratitude in our lives.
