"You cannot serve God and mammon," (Lk 16:13).
In this Sunday's Gospel, Christ warns his disciples of the dangers of giving our whole focus in this life to material things and wealth. He makes it clear that we cannot truly be disciples if value money over God. Most Christians probably do not try to seek money above God, and many are very generous with their money. However, sometimes we can find ourselves serving "mammon" in subtle ways. Father Michael offers some practical advice about how we can make sure that God is most important for us.
