Fr. Michael Sliney's Vlog: 3rd Sunday of LentFr. Michael talks about the kind of "fruit" that God wants us to produce in our Christian lives.

In this Sunday's Gospel (Lk 13:1-9), Jesus tells a parable about a landowner who planted a fig tree that produced no fruit for three years. Frustrated by this lack of fruit on this tree, the man asks his gardener to cut the tree down. What is this fruit that God expects us to produce? Fr. Michael explains that this fruit is our good work for others. These do not necessarily need to be great works, however. It is in the little things that we do for others that we bear fruit. Small acts of charity that may go unnoticed are the good fruit that God wants.
