Christianity and the Pagan Empire

As Christianity grew it invaded every part of the Roman Empire. Because of the Roman roads and the common Greek language of merchants, Christianity spread quickly.

Paganism was also in trouble and the people were looking for a true religion which they knew wasn’t the religion of the state.  Conflicts between religion and the state were certain to happen.  In some areas of the empire they used the philosophy of “Don’t ask, don’t tell.”  In other parts of the empire Christians were sought out to be tortured and fed to wild animals.




Christians a culture of life were surrounded by a culture of death.  Men were expected to commit adultery, babies were often killed, pornographic art was everywhere, and children were molested.  Here we are in the 21st century with the same problems in our society.
