Was Your Church Founded by Christ?

Does your church have a central teaching authority beyond your pastor?

People who come to my front door and try to convince me to join their church are acting out of love and want to help me be saved. I always ask this one question, “Who founded your church?” The answers are wide in scope. Paul Jones, who is he? He is the one who began our church. Hmmm, I’m sorry but I can’t go to your church because a Jewish carpenter’s son founded my church, his name was Jesus,

To those who tell be that Jesus Christ was the founder of their church I have two questions, “Can your minister trace his ordination to Jesus? To those who say no I tell them my priest can. To those who say yes I ask what the name was of the bishop who ordained them.

The real issue here is that every denomination can trace their origins to a specific person, and an historical event or time. Catholics trace their ordinations and authority in Christianity to Jesus the apostles and the bishops who succeeded them. No one, No denomination other than the Catholic Church can do that. Hmmm that must mean we are the original Christian Church. If so that must mean that we have the original Bible, the whole Bible, with all the books, not just selected books that support our theology.

The attached video discusses these historical events.
