There are many misconceptions about the Church’s position on Divorce. Many will tell you that you can’t get a divorce and remain a Catholic. Others find themselves divorced by their spouse, can they in good faith remain in the church?

The Catholic Church’s position on divorce and remarriage is scripturally based.  We will examine what the Scriptures say and compare the Scripture to the Catechism of the Catholic Church, the official teachings of the Church.

                                          

What does Jesus have to say on the subject?  How does he answer the Pharisees on the subject even in view of Moses allowing divorce and remarriage?  If divorced are you automatically committing adultery?  What is an invalid marriage?  Does a divorce mean your children are Illegitimate?  Let’s explore these and many other related issues in the video which follows.
