Ten Commandments and an Examination of Conscience (Part One)

This is the first part in a two part series on the Ten Commandments and a brief Examination of Conscience.
by Daniel E. Mayne, Sr., MA | Source: www.SaintPaulMinistries.net

This segment will cover the history of the Commandments, why the Ten Commandments are listed twice in the Bible, why there are differences and why it is important to remember that Exodus 20 were God’s words and Dt. 5 were the words of Moses to his disobedient children, Israel.

We all know people who never give the Ten Commandments a thought yet they seem to move through life doing whatever they please, we need to look at psalm 1 for a reflection on the two paths in life.  The Ten Commandments are the hub of the wheel that holds together a strong community, nation and world.

We will look at questions such as “Who is your God?”  Are you more focused on things of the world or are you focused on smoothing out the path to heaven?
