Petition Against Making Abortion a Human Right
UN Assembly will be presented with a petition by pro-abortion groups on December 10 to make abortion a universally recognized human right. Here's your chance to support a pro-life petition.

There is currently an atrociously abysmal push by radical pro-abortion groups to present petitions asking the UN General Assembly to make abortion a universally recognized human right. You can join a pro-life petition that will be released at a press conference around the same time. Sign the petition now: www.c-fam.org
The pro-abortion petition is reportedly linked to the Freedom of Choice Act (FOCA) supported by President elected Barack Obama. Obama has pledged to sign it into law as soon as he takes office. This would in effect bring in abortion up to birth once again, with the legalizing of partial birth abortion, and the termination of all pro-life advances achieved in the last 30 years. More alarming is that Catholic hospitals would be forced to provide abortion services or close down.
But simultaneously there is a pro-life campaign to present a counter petition to the UN call governments to interpret the Universal Declaration of Human Rights as protecting the unborn child from abortion. Therefore once these signatures have been collected they will be presented at a press conference.
New Zealand Bishops have asked the Church in the country to to support this pro-life initiative (www.c-fam.org ). The deadline to for the petitions is December 10. The English version has currently over 100,000 signatures, but organizers hope to around a million, so they are asking supporters to spread the word and send the link to friends and family members.

Let’s do our best to get this petition support close to a million in the little time we have left. Please forward to all your family, extended family members, co-workers, friends, everyone you can think of, specially the pro-life people. If possible put also a note on your parish bulletin, and make Mass announcements. For sure, let your priest know about this, and most and foremost pray that your efforts generate good fruits moving many hearts to uphold the dignity of human life which is created on the image and likeness of God himself (Genesis 1:26).
