Mindful Of Our Mission In the Parable of the Talents, who is the man who took his talent, dug a hole in the ground, and buried it? You might be surprised to know!
On Mass and Motives Only when we make worship of God our sole purpose in going to Mass will we receive the benefits of a genuine encounter with God.
Too Busy For God God did not create us so that we could give ourselves over to the "busyness" of a world that is temporary and will one day pass away.
All Or Nothing Our love for God is expressed in just how much we are willing to suffer for Him, sacrifice for Him, and be completely emptied out for Him. To be a "halfway" Christian is to be a lukewarm Christian - something which Christ detests.
No Exceptions When we start seeing ourselves and our circumstances as an exception to Christ's rule regarding forgiveness, we are placing our soul in terrible danger.
Beware The Bitter Root Ignorance is the bitter root of every sacrilege and desecration that has ever been committed among men.
Loving As Sons Of God God shows kindness to all of mankind in order to lead them to repentance. Should not His sons and daughters do the same?
Living By Faith If you are going through a time of suffering in your life, it is not because God has abandoned you. Rather, it is proof that He is very much at work in your life, for you are being pruned for greater fruitfulness.
Avoiding Sin At All Costs Jesus taught that if we want to make it to Heaven, we must be willing to take whatever measures are necessary in our lives to avoid sinning against God.
The True Calling Of Every Soul We were created by God and for God. We were created for His pleasure. This is the true calling that all of us must focus on.
Using Our Moments Jesus isn't asking you for tomorrow's hours, for they may never come. He's asking you for today's moments.
Where You Stand With Your Brother... It is contradictory to desire to draw close to God in one breath, why purposely avoiding and shutting out a brother or sister in Christ in the next breath.
If My Words Remain In You... To the extent that we are living in obedience to Catholic teachings is to the extent that Christ's words "remain in us." Many Catholics are not receiving answers to their prayers because they are picking and choosing which Catholic teachings appeal to their palate and rejecting those teachings that do not. To pick and choose what we want to believe, and to submit to our own opinions and interpretations, is to live as a Protestant, not as a Catholic.
