Every week the seed of God's Word is cast forth through the readings at Mass, as well as the homilies that are preached. But if we are not cultivating an intimate spiritual life with the Lord Jesus Christ throughout the week, the soil of our hearts will not be prepared to receive that Word and it will go nowhere in our lives.
